Track Of the Day – Jesse Jo Stark Fire Of Love

Jesse Jo Stark Fire Of Love

Jesse Jo Stark returns with another slice of chiming dramatic pop noir which sounds a little like Black Honey colliding with Lana Del Rey. Or perhaps David Lynch meets Hammer Horror as there’s certainly an undertone of twisted darkness and menace beneath the glam stomp on this particular track.

‘Fire Of Love’ is darkly dramatic, compelling and continues the cult-pulp-fiction-femme-fatale-B-movie vibe she embraced so successfully on her previous tune ‘Deadly Doll’

Co-produced by Dan Taylor and Stark’s guitarist Thomas Hunter, it kicks off a series of upcoming releases from the “glam ghoul goddess.”

She says  “It tells the story of [being] lost, but it’s empowering & fearless. The woman knows just what she wants.  Musically, it represents the moment everything clicked between myself, Dan, and Tom. It’s magic.”

Stark has spent the past six months writing alongside Taylor (from the UK band The Heavy) and Hunter inside of a tiny cabin in Bath, UK . Touching back down at home in Los Angeles, she then holed up at Vox Studios for two sessions to record the fruits of these writing trips. She ’ll unveil a yet to be titled 5 track EP on June 1, 2018, with a full-length album arriving around autumn 2018.
