Track Of The Day – DeLooze – ‘Lost Army’

Lost Army’ is the first single to be taken from DeLooze‘s forthcoming debut LP ‘Glass Army‘ and the first things that strike you are the sheer skyscraper levelling size of the sound and the undoubted power of her voice.  Throbbing synths, sweeping strings and a relentless beat drive the song forward, but it’s Stacey DeLooze’s compelling vocal that really makes you sit up and listen.  At times her breathtaking voice oscillates somewhere between the soaring operatic Goth pop of Zola Jesus and the snarling disdain of a young Alanis Morrissette.  This is epic, fully formed brooding electronic majesty and DeLooze serves notice that her ‘Glass Army’ are on the march and set to take over the airwaves very soon.  Listen and believe.
