Track Of The Day – Avec Sans – ‘All Of Time’


VPME faves Avec Sans return with a brand new single, which sees them gently finesse and polish their sophisticated brand of towering electro pop. It is the sort of music that successfully bridges the gap between indie electro and commercial pop, proving that sculpting a soundscape that has commercial appeal doesn’t necessarily mean lobotomising your music.

As with many of the best pop songs, ‘All Of Time’ has an overarching sense of longing, of striving to reach something that seems unattainable.  With Alice Fox’s glistening crystalline vocals floating above driving beats and throbbing synths it’s a fabulous slice of uplifting pop perfection, and one which really should see the duo make the transition from the upper echelons of the Hype Machine blog charts to mainstream radio playlists.  Moreover, let’s face it, it’s far superior than much of the back scratching big label backed heavily rotated guff that infects the nation’s airwaves, “all of (the) time”  Grin
