TRACK OF THE DAY (2) -WOLF ALICE – Baby Ain’t Made Of China’

We weren’t anticipating a new Wolf Alice track quite so soon after their critically lauded debut album ‘My Love is Cool.’ Even better, Baby Ain’t Made Of China is available as a free download, it’s a tune they recorded whilst touring the States earlier this year at JJ Abrahams Bad Robot studio and is scheduled to be released as  the B-side of their next single You’re A Germ. And once again they demonstrate just how fucking good they are. It used to be said you can often gauge just how good a band is by the quality of their B-sides, and let’s face it many bands would be releasing a song of this quality as an A-side. Whatever ‘it’ is Wolf Alice seem to instinctively have it . They’ve talked in the past of  growing as a band, of making mistakes in public,  but  in terms of releasing music they’ve not put a foot wrong and are such an exciting live band. The sky’s definitely the limit for Wolf Alice in the next few years, and they certainly deserve it.

Wolf Alice recently picked  up independent breakthrough of the year at the AIM awards (which is nearly as prestigious as the career pinnacle that is a Pipster award) and  they will be touring throughout September, October and November.
