VPME : The Best Songs of 2021


The last post of a fairly miserable year, cheered up by some great music and the emergence of Wet Leg who reminded me what fun actually was. I also discovered what a perfect match Lauren Mayberry and Robert Smith’s vocals actually are, and listened in awe as Bleach Lab resurrected the beauty of the Sundays without even knowing who they are. Wolf Alice continue to be f**king brilliant whilst emerging artists like Holly Humberstone and Swim School proved that on the talent side at least the future of UK music is in safe hands. Possibly the only thing that is on plague island.
