Track Of The Day – The Hundred In The Hands – Keep It Low.

Track Of The Day – The Friday Freebie

The Hundred In The Hand’s eponymous début album was in our top five albums of the year in 2010, and so when we heard news of their follow up  ‘Red Night‘ we were as excited as Eric Pickles upon entering a pie shop.  Ahead of the album they’ve released the hauntingly beautiful  “Keep It Low” as a free download for the price of your email (get it here,)  Eleanore Everdell weaves her sonorous vocals around subtle electro beats and gentle echoing reverb to create dark, mournful but sensual electronic pop music of the highest order.  We await  ‘Red Night’ with “bated breath “(and perhaps even  “whispering humbleness,”  yeah, yeah we know our Shakespeare.  Wink )

The band are also due to showcase their new material at Hoxton Bar and Kitchen on 31st May.
The new album ‘Red Night’ is released on June 11th.
