Track Of The Day – Shinies – ‘Taste’


Here at the VPME we love Shinies; after all, they do say ‘Shinies makes it better.’  This is obviously not without good reason because our mood has infinitely improved after wrapping our ears around Manchester’s quartet Shinies latest offering ‘Taste.’  Yes the band most likely to offend the Daily Mail return with their most accomplished work to date, a wonderful fusion of swirling reverb soaked guitar noise, thundering bass underpinned by a gorgeous melody.  It’s taken from their debut EP “Tangle,” which has been produced by MJ of Hookworms and mixed by Rory Attwell.

Give it two or three listens and we guarantee you WILL LOVE IT.   If not well, sorry but you’re seriously fucked!

It’s out via Dirty Bingo Records on limited edition clear 12″ vinyl and itunes from 12th August with a single launch at Dalston’s Victoria on the 17th.
