On Thursday, we went to see the wonderful Kid Wave in Manchester. 2015 has been a seismic year for them, releasing a magnificent debut album ‘Wonderlust’ which remains one of our favourites of the entire year, and embarking on their first headline UK tour. In front woman Lea Emmery, they have one of the most gifted young songwriters to emerge in recent years and she hinted that there may well be new material arriving in the not to distant future. Support came from Man Made who fused glam punk and grunge to produce something raw and visceral but with a real pop sensibility.
