After a series of sell-out shows in May in support of his brand new album, ’These People’ Verve legend Richard Ashcroft returned with a brace of very special gigs featuring a live orchestra.  On his website, he stated “I am really excited to announce that I’ll be playing the Liverpool Arena on December the 7th and the London 02 Arena on December the 9th. I’m going to be performing with an orchestra and you are going to hear all the classics from Lucky Man, Bitter Sweet Symphony, The Drugs Don’t Work, Sonnet through[to]my solo career, it should be an extravaganza.”  Photographer John Johnson was at the Liverpool gig to capture the night for the VPME  – you can check out his amazing pictures below.
