Video Première – Sheepy – ‘These Clothes’

Today we present the video première of Liverpool band Sheepy ‘s excellent new single ‘These Clothes.’ It’s the first track taken from their self-titled début album and the video features a superhero who, whilst not quite channelling the spirit of Benny Hill, has the ability to disrobe hipsters at will. Low speed chases and hilarity ensue. The track itself is a satisfying mix of crunching guitar thrash and melody, which reveals Sheepy have an ear for a great pop hook. It’s a tune that also provides a welcome relief from the seemingly endless deluge of humourless nufolk troubadours whose incessant mewling is about as likely to cure the January Blues as George Osborne’s economic initiatives.

Sheepy began as the work of Liverpool songwriter and guitarist Luke Jones who redefines the word prolific given that he’s already recorded 12 self-produced albums in just a few years. He’s joined by Villy Raze on Bass/ vocals and Ollie Fontaine on drums /vocals with ‘These Clothes’ scheduled for release on January 20th 2014 via Blang Records with the album following a week later on 27th.

Here’s another darn fine tune from the chaps, we’ve all been there Wink
