Right then, so I love Fridays, I love weekends, and I love Body Type, so let’s combine all three in one handy post.
The Aussie quartet has released one more single ahead of the release of their superb second album, “Excited Candy.” “Weekend” sees Body Type reflecting on love as they examine desire and passion, choosing not to overanalyse every detail and potential implications. Vocalist Sophie McComish says, “This song is pretty candid, really. It’s about romance. A lot of people stress about love and dating. There’s too much overthinking. Loving is fun. Just go all-in, even if it’s only for one night.”
The track arrives with a video by Throat Pasta who says ” “When I had the opportunity to see Body Type open for The Pixies playing during the sunset at the Sydney Opera House steps I was tripping on mushrooms and was absolutely blown away. I reached out straight after their set and when I received a message back saying my production company name was a member’s CentreLink password, we got to talking about creating a video, shortly after we linked up and made something I am so proud of, a beautiful analogue mess. I love Body Type.”
