Frankie Rose: Anything

Another year begins and 2023 starts with the fabulous news that a VPME fave  over the years, Frankie Rose is back with her first new album in six years.

We first discovered Frankie via her work as a founding member of the Vivian Girls, then as drummer/vocalist with the Crystal Stilts as well as playing with the much missed Dum Dum Girls. She then formed `Frankie Rose And The Outs” and soon began a solo project expanding her garage pop palette into subtle elegant emotionally charged dream pop. You can read our interview with her HERE from way back in 2010 when I had a penchant for giving Q&A’s dreadful pun laden titles.

Today she  announces  a brand new track “Anything” which is the first single from her forthcoming new album Love As Projection, out on March 10th on Slumberland. It’s a shimmering mix of sophisticated pulsating electronica and dreamy pop with a killer chorus sparkling with wistful beauty.

Of the album Frankie says : “This album is about having to focus our collective energies on the small things around that we can control to find joy. A distraction from the larger systemic problems that feel so overwhelming and are so very out of our collective hands… for now…”

Love As Projection tracklist:
1. Sixteen Ways
2. Anything
3. Had It Wrong
4. Saltwater Girl
5. Feel Light
6. DOA
7. Sleeping Night And Day
8. Molotov In Stereo
