My Ugly Clementine : Feet Up

My Ugly Clementine are from Vienna and comprise Sophie Lindinger, Mira Lu Kovacs, and Nastasja Ronck. While Lindinger is also part of the acclaimed pop duo Leyya, guitarist Mira Lu Kovacs is a successful solo musician and songwriter, and Ronck also plays with Austrian indie heavyweights Sharktank.

Their new single, the upbeat and hooky ‘Feet Up’, is the second track off their forthcoming album, ‘The Good Life’, set to be released on August 11, 2023, via BMG. The song extols the joys of boredom and “JOMO” (the “joy of missing out”). The band explains, “Boredom doesn’t necessarily have to be a negative thing; sometimes it’s better to slow down and enjoy the moment. After our shows, for example, we love to just hang out in the backstage area, sipping Gin and Tonics and playing board games.”

The accompanying video is a parody of iconic 90’s and early 2000’s music videos. Blink (182) and you might miss one.

Following the 2020 release of My Ugly Clementine’s debut album ‘Vitamin C,’ the band has performed at various major festivals across Europe, including Primavera Sound (Barcelona), Reeperbahn Festival (Hamburg), and Eurosonic (Groningen). They have also won the prestigious Impala Album of the Year Award.
