Remember Avec Sans ? We introduced them a few months back with their radical electronic reworking of Bon Ivor’s ‘Perth’ , we also invented a persona for them based on a 1970’s husband and wife Detective show, purely because that’s what their names – Alice Fox & Jack St. James conjured up. Truth is we don’t know any more about them now, than we did then. And if we did we wouldn’t tell. Anyway they return with their first original composition and oh yes, it’s a winner! ‘Heartbreak Hi’ is for anybody whose ever been in love, anyone whose ever been hurt and experienced the bitter sweet pain of loss and anybody whose got a pair of discerning ears. If you don’t like this, well that’s fine , but we’ll secretly think you’re either tone deaf or a bit of nobhead. But we’ll still be friends 😉
