‘Cocaine Cat’ is a slinky arresting exercise in narcotic seduction and doomed grandeur. It’s a collaboration between Canadian chanteuse Tess Parks and Brian Jonestown Massacre legend Anton Newcombe and it’s rather f*cking wonderful.
A demo version has been kicking about on line since last year, and it’s a track from their forthcoming joint album I Declare Nothing which we’re very much looking forward too. But until the album surfaces on June 29th we’ll happily wrap our ears around ‘Cocaine Cat’ which is released as a limited 10 ” single on Record Store Day via Anton’s ‘ ARecords label.
